Flush it… and FORGET IT! – The new eco-friendly substitute for traditional disposable diapers!

Believe me, as a father of 5, and one more due in November, I well know the dilemma of what to do with the (YUK) “used diaper”.  And also as the father of 2 children still in diapers at the same time (I know, “what was he thinking”), i also know that those “diaper genies” and the “diaper pail” can fill up fast, creating a whole NEW dilemma of the stench in the baby’s room, and eventually the whole house.  But that’s a blog for another day.  Let’s address the diapers themselves first, shall we?

For decades there have been only two choices in diapers. Cloth or disposable. Now there is a third option. Flushable. What? Did he say “flushable”??  Yes, Flushable. Flushable as in wad it up, toss it (gently) in the porcelain receptacle, and yes, FLUSH IT.  You might say, “Flush it… and forget it!” A literal god-send for parents with an inherent fear of the used diaper, and fathers around the world. Fathers like me.

What’s that you say? No more diaper genie?  No more taking that mogumbus overfilled Hefty bag out to the curb twice a week?  Yep, that’s EXACTLY what I’m saying…
gDiapers has introduced the first flushable diaper. It puts waste where it belongs, in the toilet and not the landfill, and have been available in Australia since 1991.  Why so long to get to us? Who knows, but I’d say ask your congressman…

This new eco-friendly diaper is a cross between cloth and disposable. It has a disposable, flushable insert in a breathable, washable cloth cover. And not just the standard white or cartoon-covered look either.  These cloth covers are completely stylish.  Never again will your infant or toddler have to be embarrassed at the mall changing room because mom bought those purple dinosaur diapers… Yeah, those…

While traditional diapers can take up to 500 years to decompose in a landfill, this new eco-friendly alternative has no guilt. As guiltless as that fat-free, sugar-free chocolate dessert at that restaurant chain.  Flushable gDiapers have no elemental chlorine, no perfumes, no smell, and no garbage. They are so gentle on the planet that you can even garden compost the wet ones, which will take approximately 50 – 150 days to biodegrade.  How great is that?  “Hey honey, I’m going to bury the diapers in the garden… Be right back…”
